Special issues, working paper series, technical notes, business cases as well as academic articles are all examples of materials this community could assemble.

  • Happy hour at ICGS conferences

  • 2024: 1 Business Case

  • 2025: 1 Academic Article

Community Mission

Our mission is to create a focused and thriving community of early-stage scholars interested in research and teaching various facets of corporate governance across all disciplines. The community would strive to create a network of corporate governance scholars who can support and help each other in both research and teaching. Members of this community are expected to share their nascent research ideas and provide constructive and developmental feedback to each other. Members are also expected to be willing and eager to share (innovative) teaching methods, materials, and resources, such as case studies and syllabi, on corporate governance topics that interest them and are relevant to the larger corporate governance community. We also plan to involve late-stage ICGS scholars who can provide mentorship and guidance to the young scholars throughout their career trajectory and within the broader ICGS community.

Target Members

An early-stage scholar (i.e., ABD Ph.D., Post-hoc, Assistant Prof or equivalent) with interest in researching and/or teaching corporate governance.

Yearly Activities Proposed
  • Drinks/dinner on Friday (if no other official conference activities are planned)

  • possibly a session on Sunday at the conference, for this year we could discuss tips and tricks about designing a syllabus

  • possibly starting following up with 1-2 webinar per year (March/July) about teaching or sharing/presenting (early stage) research ideas.
