Re‑Imagining Corporate Governance: Stakeholder Rights, Responsibilities, and Risks
In an era of growing societal expectations, regulatory change, and global uncertainty, corporate governance is increasingly shaped by questions of stakeholder rights, responsibilities, and risks. As corporations face demands from a broader range of stakeholders, new challenges emerge regarding accountability, legitimacy, and the creation of sustainable value. Against this background, the theme of this year’s conference is “Re-Imagining Corporate Governance: Stakeholder Rights, Responsibilities, and Risks.”

Each year, the ICGS conference provides a forum for international academics and policymakers to showcase and discuss the latest corporate governance research and practice. Bringing together scholars from management, finance, accounting, international business, and law, the 2027 conference theme promotes cross-disciplinary dialogue on how corporations, boards, investors, policymakers, and stakeholders can re-imagine governance to balance competing interests while fostering long-term organizational and societal resilience.
