Nestor U. Salcedo

Dr. Nestor U. Salcedo is a Postdoctoral Researcher at ESADE's Center for Corporate Governance, where he studies executive-to-board transitions, board committee dynamics, the intersection of corporate governance and information technology (IT), and comparative corporate governance in Ibero-America. With over 15 years of experience in research and teaching, he is also an Adjunct Professor at ESAN Graduate School of Business. Dr. Salcedo is actively involved in international academic networks, serving as Academic Chair of the Business Association of Latin American Studies (BALAS) and a member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and the International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS). He has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Economics, Finance and Administrative Science (JEFAS) (2021-2023) and serves on several academic journal editorial boards.

Dr. Salcedo holds a Ph.D. in Economics, Management, and Organization from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, a Master of Research (MRes) in Management Sciences, and an MBA from the ESAN Graduate School of Business. His work combines academic research with consulting for family businesses, private equity firms, and publicly traded companies. He focuses on strengthening corporate governance and strategic decision-making in technology and innovation.
